Today we’re talking about dieting. Specifically, following a Mediterranean diet and restricting carbohydrates at night. During a six-month-long study conducted at the University of Bari in Italy, adhering to a nutritional scheme like this will help you lose weight, improve your blood sugar control, and heighten your liver function. Over 153 obese and overweight adults were studied, and groups who followed the diet were compared to those who did not. The adherence groups made small improvements in everything from waist circumference to overall blood sugar control, but none of the people studied made any effort to restrict calories or exercise more. It can be reasonably assumed that the Mediterranean diet, along with carb restriction at night, promotes metabolic health and fights obesity. So, give it a try and pair it with exercise to see some real results!
