Should I count calories?
A question that many people wonder is: should I count calories? Calorie counting can be scary for some people or make them nervous because of the amount of math or worrying that they'll do it wrong. The Mediterranean Diet takes that into account, so instead of asking should I count calories? The really question becomes: Why would I count calories? If you follow the Mediterranean Diet, the answer is up to you.

Med Diet Serving Specifics:
7 or more servings of fruits and vegetables per day
2-4 servings of high in healthy fat foods per day
3 or more servings of whole grains each day
2 to 3 servings of beans per week at least
3 or more servings of low-fat dairy per week
3 or more servings of poultry per week
1-2 servings of fish per week
